The foundation of Slow Contrast was created in the year 2000. With some time gone by to let this piece cure, the view of glorious billowing summer monsoon storm clouds on the horizon from the Timehouse window inspired the evolution of the piece as I merged with this space adding more colors, contrast and moods on these last days of July 2023. The deeper contrast from over time are reveled… Cobalt and Heat Index #3 were created over the the last few days of July 2023 in prep for the Aug 1 Ambient lounge.

The Mission live in Buenos Aires, Argentina which was recorded at the last ever show by The Mission in South America on November 4 2022 at the Teatro Vorterix. Mixed by Wayne Hussey and Christophe Bride. CD format is presented in a gatefold sleeve with two CD discs. The LP is a double LP set in a gatefold sleeve with one blue and one white coloured vinyl.

A companion compilation to the sprawling 2019 box set The Later Years 1987-2019, this 80-minute collection distills that luxury item into something handy and affordable. In the winnowing process, it's revealed that the box indeed consists primarily of live material: all but five of the 12 tracks are live recordings, most taken from either the remixed version of the 1988 live double-LP Delicate Sound of Thunder or the full-length Live at Knebworth, which was recorded in 1990. Two cuts from the rejiggered A Momentary Lapse of Reason – which was revised to sound more like a classic Floyd album, à la The Division Bell – are here, along with an early rendition of "High Hopes" and the unheard instrumental "Marooned Jam," which also dates from 1994. None of this newer material is earthshaking, but it fits well next to the live versions of classic Floyd songs and, in turn, helps make a case for the merits of the Waters-less Floyd, even if it doesn't necessarily act as an enticing endorsement for the lavish accompanying box.

The title of The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert is a nod to the fact that the famous bootleg known as The "Royal Albert Hall" Concert was actually recorded at the Manchester Free Trade Hall on May 17, 1966. The historical record was corrected when the concert was released as the second installment in Bob Dylan's Bootleg Series in 1998 (it's labeled the fourth volume, but the first three editions were all rounded up in a 1991 box), so when it came to release a sampler album from the mammoth 36-disc set The 1966 Live Recordings, the only option was to release The Real Royal Albert Hall 1966 Concert, a show given on May 26, 1996. This double-disc set follows the same contours of the Manchester Free Trade Hall show, offering the acoustic set on the first disc and the electric on the second.

The 2019 Classical Emma winners Eriikka Maalismaa and Emil Holmstrom approach the unre strained emoting of Romanticism through the violin sonatas of Amy Beach (1867-1944) and Richard Strauss (1864-1949).

The '70s gave us a slew of classic hard rock albums – the likes of which may never be equaled – and though it hasn't had the lasting influence of, say, Boston's or Ted Nugent's first albums, Montrose's eponymous debut proved equally influential and important in its day. Released in 1973, the record also introduced a young Sammy Hagar to the world, but the explosive aggression of Ronnie Montrose's biting guitar left no doubt as to why it was his name gracing the cover. A rock-solid rhythm section featuring drummer Denny Carmassi and bassist Bill Church certainly didn't hurt, either, and unstoppable anthems such as "Rock the Nation" and "Good Rockin' Tonight" would lay the ground rules for an entire generation of late-'70s California bands, most notably Van Halen.

Classical singer Julia Bullock makes her solo recording debut, Walking in the Dark, December 9, 2022 on Nonesuch Records. Bullock is joined on the album by London’s Philharmonia Orchestra conducted by Christian Reif for Samuel Barber’s Knoxville: Summer of 1915 and an aria from John Adams’s El Niño. With Reif on piano she also performs a traditional spiritual and songs by Oscar Brown, Jr.; Billy Taylor; and Sandy Denny. The first track released is an interpretation of the Connie Converse song “One by One,” whose lyrics are featured in the album title.

Unplugged 1994 Previously Unreleased Second Night Following years of public speculation, the Eagles formally reunited in 1994, 14 years after splitting up in 1980. The line-up comprised the five Long Run-era members - Glen Frey, Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Don Felder, and Timothy B. Schmit - supplemented by Scott Crago (drums), John Corey (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals), Timothy Drury (keyboards, guitar, backing vocals), and Al Garth (sax, violin) on stage. For the record, we never broke up, we just took a 14-year vacation , announced Frey at their first live performance in April 94. The ensuing tour spawned the live album, Hell Freezes Over (named for Henley's recurring statement that the group would get back together when hell freezes over ), which debuted at number one on the Billboard album chart.
