Music for Alfonso the Wise by redoubtable English period instrument ensemble the Dufay Collective is not a collection of usual suspect Cantigas de Santa Maria, but attempts to re-create the lost heritage of the secular music that surrounded Alfonso X's court during his reign. Utilizing instruments reconstructed from miniatures, paintings, and other iconography dating from Alfonso's time, the Dufay Collective relies on music found within the Cantigas, manuscript sources outside it, remaining old musical practices still held over in "world music," and its own inventiveness to create an album that nonetheless smacks of authenticity.

For years, Manu Chao has been travelling the world to meet his fans in unusual venues, villages and small festivals. Elusive, but always accessible to those who cross his path, Manu now presents his new studio album Viva Tu, a collection of songs written at the heart of daily lives and struggles, and a fresh take on the state of the world, singing sunny, universal songs in Spanish, French, English and Portuguese, painting an unforgiving picture of social imbalances. The lead song ‘Viva Tu’, a heartfelt rumba dedicated to the daily life heroes, has already made its mark. The second single, ‘São Paulo Motoboy’, is a colourful, sunny ode to the two-wheeled delivery people venturing the Latin American metropoles every day. The album also features some memorable collaborations, including ‘Heaven's Bad Day’ with country legend Willie Nelson and ‘Tu Te Vas’ with rising French rapper Laeti.

In the late 1960s, when acid rock reigned and the British Invasion was still raging, Carlos Santana and his band introduced a Latin-based rock sound featuring an Afro-Cuban beat. Carlos Santana was a fourth-generation musician and the son of a violinist who played mariachi music. His father tried for many years to teach him violin, but at age eight, Santana discovered the guitar and started listening to the electric blues of B.B. King and John Lee Hooker and that was the end of it. During his long-lasting career, Carlos Santana’s name has become synonymous with some of the most important genres of music today - jazz, Latin, salsa, blues and rock.

Spanish jazz sensation Andrea Motis (voice & trumpet) presents "Febrero" together with the classical Chilean ensemble Camerata Papageno, both as an album and in concert.

The band was formed in 1973 by Eduardo Biebla (guitar), Joan Punyet (drums) and Paco Ortega (keyboards), two years later this line-up produced the EP The Beginning Of The End. One year later Atila released the highly acclaimed album Intencion and then in 1978 Reviure, both with the new line-up featuring Eduardo A. Niebla (guitar), Benet Nogue (organ, Mellotron, piano, Moog and vocals), Miguel A. Blasco (bass) and Joan Punyet (drums). At the end of 1978 the band dissolved but in 1999 Atila reformed with Joan Punyet (drums), Benet Nogue (keyboards), Ignasi Bosch (guitar), Pere Martinez (bass) and Joan Cardoner (guitar) and did a reunion-concert, playing their best material. The sound of Atila has elements from Vanilla Fudge, Cream, The Nice and Emerson, Lake & Palmer but in general … it's Atila presenting an unique prog stew with lots of own musical ideas…
