Comprising nine symphonies plus the Requiem, this boxed set exemplifies why Mackerras was acclaimed as one of the world’s greatest Mozartians and the SCO is internationally recognised as one of the world’s finest chamber orchestras. Mackerras’s recording of Mozart’s four late symphonies (Nos. 38–41) won multiple awards: the 2009 Classical BRITs Critics’ Award and the 2009 BBC Music Magazine Disc of the Year and Orchestral Awards, whilst his recording of symphonies Nos. 29, 31 (‘Paris’), 32, 35 (‘Haffner’) & 36 (‘Linz’) was named Symphonic Recording of the Year at the 2011 ECHO Klassik Awards. Completing the collection is Mackerras’s recording of the Mozart Requiem, boasting stellar soloists led by soprano Susan Gritton and mezzo Catherine Wyn-Rogers. The score, prepared by the renowned American academic Robert Levin, aims for a more historically authentic performance of the choral masterpiece. It was named a benchmark recording by BBC Music Magazine amongst other accolades.

What makes this special: Two brothers, no guitars — just vintage organ, thunderous drums, and hypnotic call-and-response vocals creating massive soundscapes. Rooted in 1970s prog, hard rock, and heavy psych, Moundrag channel icons like Deep Purple, King Crimson, Emerson Lake & Palmer, and Uriah Heep, while drawing parallels to modern acts like Motorpsycho and Hällas. Yet Deux is no nostalgia trip — it’s a fiercely contemporary manifesto, blending dystopian fantasy, sci-fi, and Celtic myth into lyrics that challenge archaic norms and imagine a freer world.

Antonio Nola was a minor figure among the Neapolitan composers who collaborated with musicians from the church of the Girolamini, which included Giovanni Maria Trabaci, Scipione Dentice (nephew of Fabrizio Dentice), Giovanni Maria Sabino, Giovanni Salvatore, master of the royal chapel Filippo Coppola and, foremost among them, Erasmo di Bartolo ("Padre Raimo") author of the monumental Mottetti per le quarant' ore. His only recorded work, in comparison with the Magnificat a 5 composed in the same year by his colleague Francesco Provenzale (1624–1704), shows a less sophisticated compositional level.

As part of the 25th anniversary celebration of the World Soundtrack Awards, Film Fest Gent presents Craig Armstrong: Music for Film, an expanded reissue of its very first official album (originally released in 2007). Consisting of studio recordings now available internationally for the first time, the album features highlights from Craig Armstrong's film works, performed by the Brussels Philharmonic and Vlaams Radiokoor and conducted by Film Fest Gent music director Dirk Brosse.

Otis Taylor is one of the few musicians in the world who bring depth and honesty to the topics of his songs and the passion of his voice and playing. He grew up in Denver, CO, but was born in Chicago in 1948. He is a multi-instrumentalist whose talents include the guitar, banjo, mandolin, harmonica and vocals. He was inducted into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame in 2019.

The record is the culmination of the joint inner world of Nina Cristante, Jezmi Tarik Fehmi and Sam Fenton – three singer-songwriters who have transcended their underground roots to embrace a bold, widescreen horizon.

George Michael’s Careless Whisper is one of the most iconic songs of all time and this year it celebrates its 40th anniversary. Hailed as a pop masterpiece, it topped the charts in 25 countries when it was released in 1984. The track has since been certified multiple times Platinum around the world. To mark this incredible milestone, the limited-edition Careless Whisper EP brings together all the versions in one special release. It features instrumental and extended mixes and a previously unreleased live version recorded at Madison Square Garden, New York.

Digitally remastered and expanded two CD edition. Originally released in May 1990, again followed some profound changes in the artist's life and lifestyle, which included divorcing his wife Isabella and going on a six-month trip around the world. The album that appeared after his return was a collaboration with Robert Ponger, the producer on Falco's first two albums, who composed his first big hit 'Der Kommissar', The pair also went back to their tried and tested approach to songwriting: Ponger wrote the music while Falco came up with the words.
