Van Morrison will release his new album ‘Remembering Now’ on June 13th. It represents his first collection of original music since 2022 and also follows the acclaimed covers albums ‘Moving On Skiffle’ and ‘Accentuate The Positive’. The album’s launch is accompanied by the long-awaited single ‘Down To Joy’, which receives its first official release after memorably featuring in Kenneth Branagh’s Oscar and BAFTA winning film ‘Belfast’. With ‘Remembering Now’, Van Morrison returns to the transcendent, uncategorisable rhapsodies that make him unique.

3 X CD SET FEATURING CLASSIC LIVE RECORDINGS 1971 - 1994 This three x CD boxed set celebrates the extraordinary career of The Allman Brothers, and features live broadcast recordings from each era of the band s history. On Disc One, from the group s first wave when brother Duane was still on board, comes the very rare Warehouse broadcast, recorded in New Orleans in September 1971. Next up is the classic broadcast from the Cow Palace in San Francisco on New Year s Eve 1973, by which time, tragically, both Duane Allman and bass player Berry Oakley had been killed in separate motorcycle accidents. The set is concluded with an extraordinary late period show recorded at the Woodstock Festival in 1994 (on the 25th Anniversary of the original 1969 event) when the band performed a dynamic set in front of some 500,000 attendees.

The Doors mark the moment when the American rock underground of the 1960s came crashing into the mainstream. The group's massive influence on the course of rock music may been overshadowed by decades of lionization of their late lead singer Jim Morrison, whose early death wound up being a pivotal part of their legacy. He seemed to loom larger in his afterlife than he did when he roamed the earth, his posthumous popularity cresting in the '80s as the Doors returned to radio airwaves in the wake of their magnum opus "The End" soundtracking pivotal moments in Francis Ford Coppola's Apocalypse Now.

'The Doors announced themselves to the world with a near-perfect debut album,' writes veteran rock journalist Ben Fong-Torres in his notes for this unprecedented box. Indeed, The Doors' self-titled 1967 debut recorded in late '66 struck awe in fans and critics alike, and heralded the arrival of the one the most original and daring bands ever. Through five more studio albums, The Doors were fronted by the legendary Jim Morrison, and continually pushed the boundaries of contemporary music and popular culture. To mark the band's 40th anniversary, Rhino salutes their legacy with a 12-disc box housing remastered & expanded editions of these six album masterpieces.

Well, this is something serious Hendrix collectors have been waiting for. Band of Gypsys famously played a total of four shows 12/31/69 and 1/1/70 at the Fillmore East (two shows each night). This is the complete first set from the first night; their debut live show. Although the original Band of Gypsys album was compiled from the second night, it wasn't because there weren't amazing performances to choose from on the first night. The first couple songs are a bit rough around the edges, but when Jimi goes deep blues with "Hear My Train a Comin'," he really starts feeling it and turns in an absolutely amazing version (that's why it was previously released on Band of Gypsys 2 and Live at the Fillmore East). "Machine Gun" is another stunner…

On February 24th, 1969, Jimi Hendrix performed at Royal Albert Hall. The concert was recorded and filmed for a planned documentary/concert movie entitled Experience. The movie was never formally released; however, it does exist and the audio masters were packaged and repackaged into many different products, including the 1987 title The Last Experience Concert: His Final Performance. This particular title is extremely misleading, as Hendrix went on to perform many times after this concert. There are several titles that feature the identical Royal Albert Hall performance, so collectors of Hendrix concert discs should be careful to check song lists and running times so as not to duplicate a prior purchase of this performance. Fans convinced they do not yet own a recording of this concert are encouraged to pick one up. The sound quality is decent, if a little inconsistent, and the performances are powerful. Highlights include Hendrix's version of Cream's "Sunshine of Your Love" and the guitarist's own masterpieces like "Voodoo Chile."

Record Store Day 2024. Native American guitarist Jesse Ed Davis was the “go-to” guy for a remarkable group of musicians. Starting in the mid-‘60s, he toured with Conway Twitty, then became a key part of Taj Mahal’s band, playing on several albums and tours including an appearance in The Rolling Stones Rock and Roll Circus, and, perhaps most famously, accompanied George Harrison during the Concert for Bangladesh, followed by work on various solo albums by John Lennon, Ringo Starr, Gene Clark, Leonard Cohen, and Jackson Browne (that’s Jesse taking the solo on his 1972 breakout hit “Doctor My Eyes”).

Recorded over 3 nights at the legendary Glasgow Apollo, Live is regarded as one of the most classic live rock albums of the seventies. It shows Status quo at their loudest; noisiest; and at their peak. Live! Was the first live album that Status Quo released commercially. The album is an amalgam of performances at the Glasgow Apollo Theatre between 27 and the 29th October 1976, with the band deciding on the best takes from all three nights worth of concerts. It was recorded using the Rolling Stones’ Mobile Studio (also known as the RSM), a recording studio that was built inside a DAF F1600 turbo truck that was once owned by the Rolling Stones.

The Black Keys release their tenth studio album, DeltaKream, via Nonesuch Records. The recordcelebrates the band’s roots, featuring eleven Mississippi hill country blues standards that they have loved since they were teenagers, before they were a band, including songs by R. L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough, among others. Dan Auerbach and Patrick Carney recorded Delta Kream at Auerbach’s Easy Eye Sound studio in Nashville; they were joined by musicians Kenny Brown and Eric Deaton, long-time members of the bands of blues legends including R. L. Burnside and Junior Kimbrough. The album takes its name from William Eggleston’s iconic Mississippi photograph that is on its cover.
