Disguised as a perfect little dance-riffic candy shell with hype-pop touches and disco bass, it details "a living, breathing unreal being who lives inside my head." But the bitter inside is revealed after the singer and producer coos, "Inside my head/ Oh she echoes in my …" Suddenly there's a scream, muffled low in the mix and sounding like torture. Who is that? Yeule, who uses them/they pronouns, is such a Gen Z digital native it's hard to know if they would even exist without the internet.

Sanjay Divecha is one of the most revered guitar players in India - a unique and compelling voice as a player and composer. An intrepid traveler on a long journey filled with experiences, Sanjay's quest has brought him face to face with legends, visionaries and doyens. Sanjay is a part of the hugely successful supergroup CROSSCURRENTS led by Zakir Hussain and featuring stalwarts such as Dave Holland, Chris Potter, Shankar Mahadevan, Louiz Banks and Gino Banks.

Arising from the ashes of the important mid-'90s Swedish death metal band At the Gates and featuring former members of Witchery and Face Down, the Haunted went through countless lineup changes during the late '90s before finally releasing The Haunted Made Me Do It in 2000, confirming the excitement surrounding the band. Back in 1996, guitarist Anders Björler and bassist Jonas Björler left At the Gates, eventually ending up as early members of the Haunted, along with ex-Seance guitarist Jensen and ex-At the Gates drummer Adrian Erlandsson. Though it took them nearly a year's time to find an adequate vocalist, they eventually settled on Peter Dolving from Mary Beats Jane after Earache approached the group about contributing music to the Earplugged 2 compilation. Soon the band went into the studio with this lineup and recorded its self-titled debut, which won plenty of praise from the metal community.

Cuban-born percussionist Pedrito Martinez is an acclaimed musician who plays a dynamic mix of traditional Cuban rumba, Afro-Latin jazz, and Spanish flamenco music. Martinez initially grabbed attention after moving to New York in the late '90s and playing with the Yerba Buena collective, Claudia Acuña, Mark Weinstein, and others. He has also won praise for his solo work, including garnering a Grammy nomination for 2013's Pedrito Martinez Group.

Goddess is the bold new musical project from Fay Milton, best known as the drummer of the acclaimed post-punk band Savages. Conceived during Savages' hiatus, Goddess emerged from Fay’s desire to step into a larger creative role—celebrating sisterhood, feminine energy, and the collaborative spirit of the London independent music scene.

This is the first album by young pianist Tyler Henderson (born in Oneonta, New York, USA in 2001), who is active in the New York scene and has been featured on recent works by Jacob Chung (ts) and Ilya Osadchuk (b) (as well as the first album by up-and-coming singer Kieran Brown, which will be released soon), leading a piano trio. The songs are half standards and half originals.

There are good reasons why the names of all those involved in this album are listed as equal partners. "Moving Times" is the result of real teamwork and is the first production of a newly formed group in which everyone acts on an equal footing. This is not self-evident, because singer Esther Kaiser and guitarist Axel Fischbacher represent two established big names in the German jazz scene, who have been independently leading their own bands for many years and have released a large number of their own albums. The two belong to different generations while bassist Genevieve O’Driscoll and drummer/vibraphonist Michael Knippschild represent another one. That means three generations, two women and two men, and it fits as if there were nothing more normal in the world.

On June 9, 2024, drummer Alex Riel—one of the greatest personalities in Danish music history—passed away. For seven decades, he helped shape Danish and European music across several genres.
