Hamburg-based producer Stefan Kozalla, better known as DJ Koze, last released an album of original material in 2018, an eon ago in electronic years and one or two totalitarian sea changes past. If DJs reflect the world around them with their exploratory tastes and eclectic collaborations, you'd think the future was looking a lot more utopian based on Kozalla's fourth full-length Music Can Hear Us. Starting with "The Universe in a Nutshell" the album continues to Damon Albarn's Auto-Tuned warbling over the spindly plucking of what sounds like a Malian ngoni.

In chemistry, when certain galvanizing elements come together, they become quite explosive. In music, when certain galvanizing artists come together, they become Flying Colors. In fact, whenever the five gentlemen who encompass Flying Colors - guitarist Steve Morse, drummer Mike Portnoy, keyboardist/vocalist Neal Morse, bassist Dave LaRue, and powerhouse vocalist and songwriter Casey McPherson are able to conjoin their collective talents, the result is a sweet sonic bouillabaisse that reflects where their inherent mastery of melody intersects with top-shelf progressive musicianship. Flying Colors soar to even loftier heights with Third Degree, their third studio album in a decade that's set for release on October 4, 2019 via Music Theories Recordings.

“To me, Honey Lingers is like a psychotic melodic patchwork of every single emotion we were having. It's retro, joyful, frustrating, snarky, and sad. It spits, cries, shags, and dances and that was what we felt like we were doing as we toured, did television, press and general promotion all over the globe.” Tracey Brynn, Voice of The Beehive. Reissued for the first time on vinyl since 1991, Voice of the Beehive’s Honey Lingers saw the US/UK band build further on their signature mix of jangly guitars, upbeat rhythms, and melodic pop hooks towards a glossier, more mainstream sound. Featuring three UK Top 40 singles, ‘Monsters and Angels,’ ‘I Think I Love You’ and ‘Perfect Place;’ the album reached Silver sales in the UK. This remastered and expanded 2CD edition features all the band’s many B-sides from the era, rare and unreleased remixes (including the 12” version of ‘Monsters and Angels’), and many unheard alternative and acoustic versions. There’s also previously unreleased tracks from the band live in concert, recorded at The Kentish Town & Country Club for BBC Radio One.

Among Nektar fans, there are many who consider Remember the Future to be the band's creative peak. The album certainly creates the grounds for making that argument. Indeed, it is an ambitious work that is essentially one composition divided into two parts. The whole is performed in a very seamless and competent manner. Still, many critics just plain didn't get it. The juxtaposition of the two opinions makes this album to Nektar much like what Tales From Topographic Oceans was to Yes. The truth is probably somewhere between the two points, as it usually is. It truly is a very entertaining, well-written, and well-performed disc that showcases a very underrated band at the top of their game.

Live in Boston is a triple CD live album by American rock band the Doors released in 2007. It was recorded at the Boston Arena on April 10, 1970, during the band's Roadhouse Blues Tour. The band performed two shows, one starting at 7 pm and a second scheduled for 10 but not actually starting until past midnight. Jim Morrison appears to be intoxicated during the entire latter show, and continued drinking heavily throughout the performance. The late start ended with the venue's owners cutting power to the stage to force the end of the concert. The album was released from the Bright Midnight Archives collection which contains a number of previously unreleased live concerts by the Doors.

Eroc (Joachim Heinz Ehrig) started his solo career in 1975 while he was currently the drummer of Grobschnitt. His self titled album can be considered as a cross between Gorbschnitt's typical symphonic amazing music and electronic/ synthscapes dominated by numerous original sound manipulations. Despite that he was originally recognised as a drummer, here Eroc is the man behind the machines, controlling solid essays in synth experimentations and electronic collages. His first album is an absolute must in Kraut/ electronic genre, very abstract, emotional and a mix of different moods. This album is an opponent worthy of Klaus Schulze's first realisations in space/ "kosmische" electronic music. His following album ("Zwei" published by "Brain" in 1976) continues to process by a combination between rock and electronic but focused on short, efficient sketches…
