“’Loving You ‘is a reflection on the life and music of Bobbie Nelson,” says Grammy-winning singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Amanda Shires. Shires’ mission in making ‘Loving You ‘is to pay respect to the only woman she saw working in a band and pursuing a career as a sideman. “I first saw Bobbie playing when I was 16 at some festival in Texas where I grew up,” she explains. “Much of my path seemed possible because I saw a woman working and making a career of music at a young age, and that woman was Bobbie Nelson.”

Critically acclaimed, Grammy award-winning singer, songwriter and violinist Amanda Shires will be releasing a Christmas album in November 2021. Nine out of eleven tracks will be original songs. Amanda has released five solo studio albums, is a member of Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit and is a founding member of The Highwomen along with Brandi Carlile, Maren Morris and Natalie Hemby. Through the years, she has toured and recorded with notable artists including John Prine, Billy Joe Shaver, Todd Snider, Shovels and Rope, Gregg Allman, Justin Townes Earle and more, including her husband Jason Isbell.

On May 15, Jason Isbell and his wife, singer-songwriter/fiddler Amanda Shires played a concert at a mostly empty Brooklyn Bowl Nashville to celebrate the release of the Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit album, Reunions.
