North African, LA-based singer-songwriter Ami Taf Ra announces her debut album, The Prophet and The Madman, arriving August 22 via Brainfeeder. A transcendent, sonic palate cleanser that draws from Moroccan gnawa, gospel, and spiritual jazz, the album is a personal and poetic meditation on duality, healing, and ancestral memory. Inspired by Khalil Gibran’s seminal work, The Prophet, Ami Taf Ra’s album was produced by legendary saxophonist composer and her frequent collaborator Kamasi Washington. Arriving alongside the announcement is Ami Taf Ra’s powerful new single “How I Became A Madman” featuring Kamasi Washington. With soaring arrangements and entrancing emotional arcs, the track captures the tension between inner chaos and clarity—a central theme of the forthcoming album.

There is both seriousness and ecstasy on Moksha's second album. There are complex and virtuosic moments, but it also feels like music that arose from the simplest of all starting points, the play between three good fellow musicians. The trio's unique interplay began back in 2012, when they were still students and met to experiment with rhythm, raga and jazz. Their first album, “The Beauty of an Arbitrary Moment”, was released by Jazzland in 2016 and was very well received both at home and abroad. In 2024, the singer and songwriter Oum celebrates her fifteen-year career with a live album recorded in Marrakech, which plunges back into the magic of her three flagship records, here revisited in a different light. This seventh album, named Dakchi, which means "those things," is the opportunity for this daring off-roader to allow herself a suspended moment for a temporary assessment, a return to her roots. Dakchi is the first best-of live album, in which Oum brings together around ten titles from her repertoire woven throughout three albums with identities as singular as they are filled with a common sap: "Soul of Morocco" (2013), "Zarabi" (2015), and "Daba" (2019).

Altın Gün is an Anatolian rock band from Amsterdam, Netherlands. It was founded by guitarist Ben Rider and bassist Jasper Verhulst in 2016. Their debut album was On, released in 2018. In 2019, they released Gece which was nominated for the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards (2019) in the Best World Music Album category. Their style has been described as "psychedelic" with a "dirty blend of funk rhythms, wah-wah guitars and analogue organs". Altın Gün also performs psychedelic rock covers of Turkish folk music. The band's first American tour commenced in mid 2019.

Three years after their debut recording In the Wake of Memories, Wassim Mukdad, David Rothenberg and Volker Lankow went back into Studio Wong, Berlin to reflect musically and spiritually on the power of beauty in a time of war. Wassim Mukdad is an oud master and medical doctor from Syria.
