Shika Shika presents Huaynos Floridos, the third album by Argentine artist, researcher, and educator Gregorio Quirós. In this new work, Quirós delves into huayno as an expanding field, exploring its possibilities through an instrumentation that overflows the boundaries of the Andes. Colombian chonta marimbas, Mexican jaranas, Argentine percussion and bass drums, along with other Latin American instruments, shape a sonic palette that travels the continent from north to south, proposing a renewed, bold, and contemporary timbre.
