Their second album, Acquiring The Taste, was originally released in the summer of 1971, and was produced by Tony Visconti, like their debut album. The tracks on the album are less blues and soul inspired, and more experimental and varied; in the words of the band, more 'unique, adventurous and fascinating'.

GG's seventh album - originally released in 1975 - Free Hand is arguably the Giant's most accessible and vibrant release and saw the band competing with the likes of Genesis, Yes and Jethro Tull on an equal footing.
