Shining sounds from the dawn of the Sun Ra Arkestra. 'El is A Sound of Joy' was recorded in 1956 and appeared the following year on the very first Saturn LP, Super-Sonic Jazz.

With a playful interplay and energetic presence, the BLISS Quintet has in a short time made its mark as an up-and-coming band within the Norwegian jazz scene. The band released their critically acclaimed debut album "Dramaqueen" on Jazzland Recordings in the spring of 2022. The album was mentioned in Ballade (NO) as album of the year, and by Selwyn Harris from Jazzwise (UK) as "an impressive-sounding young Norwegian band for the future". The band went on an extensive Norwegian tour to coincide with the release, and won the international 7th Virtual Jazz Competition for the title track "Dramaqueen - live".

Heart's Ann Wilson is releasing a new record with Tripsitter, 'Another Door'. Prior to starting the 2023 tour, Ann Wilson and her band Tripsitter finished 'Another Door', a record of all-original material, which marks the first time since the '70s that Ann has written a full-length album collectively with a band. Tripsitter features Tony Lucido (bass), Ryan Wariner (guitars), Sean T. Lane (drums), and Paul Moak (guitars and keyboards). Tom Bukovac (guitars) was also a primary contributor.

One of Norways’s leading ladies of jazz teams up with Europe’s most exciting Swing band for a cinematic tour de force. For singer and songwriter Hilde Louise Asbjørnsen, this album was an urge as natural as breathing. Recorded for a 2020 live gig, she dives headlong into hand-picked songs from her decades-spanning career. Gathering “all the threads of inspiration through my years as a songwriter and jazz singer”, this is the way they were always meant to be heard.

The idea to dedicate an album to music from Amsterdam, where Postscript was formed, had been on our minds for some time, but it really came into focus with the beginning of the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic. We were isolating at our respective homes in Amsterdam; however, on the rare occasions that music- making was possible, we were able to do it together, since we formed a small enough group to gather safely. The hectic travel schedules that normally shaped our lives came to a halt, and we had the opportunity to spend more time in our home city, enjoying contemplative walks in the eerily now-quiet streets.

Johnny Osbourne, one of the few remaining living titans of the golden age of reggae, returns to action with this upcoming album. The record was recorded in France with the French Connexion Band backing him up. They manage to play very much in the style of classic reggae backing bands like the Roots Radics, bringing an extremely authentic old school sound that evokes much of Osbourne's best-known work. A guest appearance by another legend, Lone Ranger, towards the end of the record is the icing on the cake.
