With Songs From The Treehouse, American vibraphonist Tim Collins and Austrian pianist Martin Gasselsberger capture the magic of childhood memories in playful, emotional, and intricate compositions. Friends and collaborators since 2013, the duo's deep musical connection is on full display in this new release from GLM Fine Music. Featuring 12 tracks on CD and 9 on vinyl, the album blends original compositions and covers with cinematic storytelling and improvisational spirit.
Highlights include Collins' "The Last Long Days" and "Adirondack River" – homages to late summer and wild streams – and Gasselsberger's grooving "Shuttle Song" and lyrical "Water's Liberty." Covers include Billie Eilish's "Everything I Wanted" and a tribute to Austrian guitar legend Harry Pepl.
