It was the work with the CD release "Spellstenen" that started the process of a new book to take care of, and convey the folk songs from the old county of Hedmark to children as well.
A few years ago, I worked in the archive of the Norwegian Folk Music Collection with a selection of songs and songs from the seder life for the documentation CD, "Rosekolla", published by the National Library in 2014.
For this release I have selected other songs from the archive; shows, railway sleepers and stumps with sources from Hedmark, recordings made by various collectors in the years from 1952?1975.
In addition, I have made a selection of songs from my previous albums "Nightingale" (2000), "Maros" (2009), "Songen til Fløyta" (2012), "Fable" (2016) and "Spellstenen" (2020).
I also have a small collection of shows by composers and writers from the area.
In the book, I have divided the songs into a few categories, where it says a little about the various genres and content.
Many of the songs are without information about the lyricist or composer, only who we know sang them.
