Filles de Kilimanjaro (French for "Girls of Kilimanjaro") is a studio album by American jazz trumpeter Miles Davis. It was recorded in June and September 1968. The album is a transitional work for Davis, who was shifting stylistically from acoustic recordings with his second "great" quintet to his "electric" period. Filles de Kilimanjaro was well received by contemporary music critics, who viewed it as a significant release in modern jazz.

Massimo Farao' is a wonderful Italian pianist who has played and recorded with Red Holloway, Albert "Tootie" Heath, Tony Scott, Franco Ambrosetti, Nat Adderley, Jeff Tain Watts, Jack DeJohnette and Chris Potter, among others. Farao's passionate style and stoic romanticism are very attractive along with the rich harmonies he creates. For this release he is adapts and interprets Ennio Morricone's famous songs such as "Nuovo Cinema Paradiso", "Once Upon A Time In America", "Mission", "Playing Love", and more. Piano, guitars, trumpets blend the moving feelings of jazz and films. Venus's Hyper Magnum Sound is transparent and beautiful.

When Wes Montgomery made his first amazing impact on the New York jazz scene at the end of the 1950s, a great many established stars actively sought to record with him. Milt Jackson was one of the few for whom the guitarist felt an equal affinity. For one thing, they shared a strong love for the blues; and Wes had learned, through years of playing with his brother Buddy, to value the vibes/guitar sound. To support this memorable meeting of thoroughly compatible jazz masters, Riverside assembled one of the most cohesive recording rhythm sections of its day: Wynton Kelly, Sam Jones, and Philly Joe Jones.

Bennett and Farnon had been friends since the early 1950s but had not worked together before recording this album, which included arrangements by Don Costa, Marion Evans, and Torrie Zito.

"Princess" is the first recording for the duo of Stéphan Oliva & Susanne Abbuehl with the great Norwegian drummer and percussionist Øyvind Hegg-Lunde. The album have been released on the French independent label Vision Fugitive. The Trio will be on Tour in 2017 & 2018.

The Allmusic review states "This is a tough, streetwise, commercial jazz album that has plenty to offer to anyone with an open mind. In the pocket, groove-soaked, and flawlessly executed".

At a young age, cellist Jacqueline du Pre achieved mainstream popularity. She is regarded as one of the most distinctive cellists of the last half of the 20th century.
