This course is for people with little to no knowledge about asexuality and aromantic spectrums

Description
It is being led by Chasse (he/him) a Registered Psychotherapist in the province on Ontario, Canada who is also a neurodivergent, trans masculine and asexual person. This course is introductory to Asexual and Aromantic Spectrums. We will be exploring the nuances of sex, romance, desire and relationships. More specifically unpacking definitions of and common misconceptions surrounding sex, asexuality, attraction, romance, and aromanticism. We will also briefly unpack relationship types beyond "traditional" monogamy, including queer platonic relationships. The course is structured into four different sections with around 15 minutes of video content each including brief quizzes. Each section starts with an video titled "accessibility" including a verbal description of the slides included in this section. Sections that lack this video includes this description in the main lectures. The first section includes an introduction to the course and course instructor, including a land acknowledgement. Th second section introduces asexual spectrums, unpacking sex, sexual attraction and asexual spectrums. Followed by a lecture on sex, desire, and arousal.The third section introduces aromantic spectrums, unpacking romance and romantic attraction. Followed by a lecture on relationships.The final section summarizes the course content through important takeaways and includes extra content on the relationship between trauma and asexual and aromantic spectrums. This course is ideal for mental health practitioners and anyone else who is interested in learning about these topics.
