Dan Pitt it a guitarist, composer and improviser based in Toronto with focus in improvised music ranging from a multitude of genres such as jazz, folk, rock, pop and contemporary music.

Logan Kane, one of jazz’s most sought-after young bassists and a prominent figure in LA’s thriving creative music scene, is proud to present Floor Plans, his first recording at the helm of an acoustic jazz quintet. Kane’s first full-length, NOPE,SCIENCE (2020), showcased his adventurous writing for nonet, while Planet Mirrors (2021) was electronic, catchy, riotously inventive, with Kane playing all instruments and singing (in the company of several guests). On Floor Plans, Kane is heard mainly on upright bass, the instrument he plays extensively as a sideman with the likes of Steve Lehman, Ari Hoenig, Becca Stevens, Justin Brown, Edward Simon and Joel Ross, to name a few. The music is imposingly dense and ambitious, with rhythmic precision and soaringly complex melodic arcs, every moment of it fired by the extraordinary players in Kane’s band.

Charu Suri is a highly distinguished pianist/composer AND award-winning journalist who is originally from South India. Charu’s latest release is titled ‘RAGS & RAGAS’ and she is literally revolutionizing music. This quite possibly could be the very first album to combine Indian ragas and New Orleans-style jazz. Charu is no stranger to thinking outside the box when it comes to writing original compositions. Charu Suri is a true trailblazer when it comes to composing music as she crosses musical boundaries and bends the musical spectrum on ‘RAGS & RAGAS’!

Raised in the dirt-road town of Wellington, Alabama, Aretta Woodruff found her voice in the Hopewell Baptist church choir at five years old and has not stopped singing since. A force to be reckoned with, she brings her indefatigable spirit and powerhouse vocals to every performance. Aretta's talent and commitment to her art have propelled her into fame within the Birmingham Blues and R&B music scene. Aretta opened for The Queen of the Blues, Denise LaSalle on so many occasions that the two became close family friends.

Song-Stylist Jonathan Karrant’s new album entitled “Eclectic” is just that, a collection of popular songs written from the 1940’s through the 2010’s. It includes favorites from the Great American Songbook born out of Broadway musicals and Hollywood films, as well as songs not usually found in the jazz genre, cleverly creating new standards out of songs by Smokey Robinson, James Taylor and Macy Gray. A highlight track is a song called Love Dance written by Ivan Lins. Jonathan’s recording of the song is a beautifully sensual duet with Grammy nominated singer Jane Monheit.

Since the release of her captivating debut, 2009’s Dangerous Liaisons, female jazz vocalist Sylvia Brooks has displayed a gift for inhabiting different personas, with a subspecialty in film-noir inspired femmes fatale. On her fourth jazz music album, Signature, she embraces the most challenging role of all, defining herself with a set of beautifully crafted original songs. Her evocative lyrics and emotionally direct delivery imbue the music with hard-won authenticity. Whether looking back with wry affection on her walk-on-the-wild-side youth or lamenting a lost love, Brooks brings bracing honesty and poise to the material. Like on her previous album, 2017’s The Arrangement, she’s keeping company with the Southland’s most creative accompanists.

Having lived, performed, developed, and matured in New York City for over 20 years, Dust Settles, my sixth album as a leader, is a cumulative representation of the years I’ve spent becoming a seasoned bandleader, composer, drummer, and record label entrepreneur. I cannot be prouder of the music we made on this session as this album features some of the very best jazz musicians in the world today. This is a dream band for me with Stacy Dillard on tenor and soprano saxophones, Peter Bernstein on guitar, Miki Yamanaka piano, and Yasushi Nakamura bass.

The duo formed by Alfio Origlio and Marc-Olivier Savoy is an improvised poetic dialogue which draws its roots from the rich and unique culture of these two artists. Sparks & Shadows, a multifaceted entertainment company founded by preeminent film and TV composer Bear McCreary, is set to release Brendan McCreary Sings the Love Songs of Mike Stoller a new collection of fresh interpretations of rare gems as well as never-before-recorded songs by Stoller, most of them cowritten with his late writing partner, Jerry Leiber.

I am proud to announce a new album of my music, titled “Thought and Memory”. It will be released on September 8th 2023 on Brooklyn Jazz Underground (BJU) Records. This album consists of seven of my compositions. The first four were written in New York City and the final three tracks are a three movement suite that I began working on during my time in Kabul Afghanistan in 2015.

Justin Klunk is a saxophone recording artist based out of Los Angeles, CA. Justin completed his BM in Popular Music Performance at the University of Southern California (USC) in May of 2013. Immediately after graduation, he went on his first national tour performing for pop artist, Ariana Grande, and released his debut CD/EP titled “Justin Klunk – EP”.

Adam Levy is an NYC-based guitarist with 30 years of experience as a performing artist, studio musician, journalist, and educator. He has released more than a dozen albums of his own, and is featured on recordings by Norah Jones, Vulfpeck, Ani DiFranco, Allen Toussaint, and other renowned artists. He has toured extensively as a solo artist and as a collaborator.

Yvan Belleau is back in force with a fourth album Quintissime, which highlights his favorite instrument: the clarinet. Both intimate and rhythmic, his new opus makes us travel in the distinctive universe of the musician. More soaring than his last albums, Yvan Belleau fits with this one in a style mixing classical music and contemporary jazz. It leaves room for improvisation, and each of the tracks flow together so harmoniously that the album as a whole feels like a sequel.

Roman Bulakhov - bright representative of the new wave of the modern jazz scene today. Guitarist/producer, who not afraid to experiment and combine radically opposite musical genres. Was born in the city of Severodonetsk, Ukraine, in 1992 in a family of musicians. Graduated from the Kharkiv Musical College as a jazz guitarist but became widely known in Eastern Europe as part of the Ukrainian rock band . In 2018, released his debut album - an experimental mixture of acoustic jazz with electronic samples, which launched his jazz career as a solo guitarist. In 2019 became the only Ukrainian and one of the main artists for D'Angelico Guitars.

I thought it would be cool to have an album and call it Plan B because of the my name. Also , the title Plan B has a double meaning. When you’re doing business, you always need a Plan B. Most of the songs of this album were written during the Covid 19 Lockdown time. And because of that, we thought about releasing a digital album. The plan was to do this album with my band “The Goosebumps Bros“. This would be the first joint album that I produced with my band and the first digital only album. But things changed again, and there will also be a CD and vinyl release of the album. And this is another reason why we called it Plan B.
