Description
In this course, you will learn how to musically play chords on the piano, or keyboard. A fun step-by-step series of lessons, accompanied by learning materials and backing tracks. This course will push you forward in a playful, yet solid way.
Every lesson is a clear step in the process of learning to get comfortable with playing any triad on the piano or keyboard. A PDF explains matters, and gives you a number of exercises. These exercises can be played with a backing track (provided).
It is important to realise you are acquiring a skill, not a bunch of information. Skills develop through repetition. By understanding the underlying principles it becomes easy to see the logic within the chord-symbol system and before you know it you will be able to play chord progression you will find in Song Books and Real Books.
The emphasis on presenting your chords in a musical and logical way is the goal of this course. We don’t want to learn some tricks that work for a specific song only, in order to impress our friends - no, we want to lay a foundation on which you can keep building in order to create more sophisticated chords at a later stage.
Play along with your favourite songs; open a piece of sheet music and play through it, play with a band, and even be able to write your own songs. They key all that is the ability to play chords.
Who this course is for:
Anyone that is interested in accompanying themselves while singing, or any instrumentalist that wants to get closer to the chords of a tune they want to play, will benefit from this course.
