Whether you’re a teenager or traveller looking for your very first job in Australia, this course will guide you step by step through the whole job-hunting process. You won’t just watch – you’ll practice speaking English with confidence through interactive roleplays, so you’re ready for real-life situations.
We’ll start with the basics: how to write a clear and professionalresumeandcover letterthat show your strengths, even if you don’t have much work experience yet. You’ll learn useful vocabulary and practise saying each part out loud so you can fill in forms and applications with ease.
Next, we’ll explore where tosearch for jobsonline and in person, and how to understand job ads – including the difference between full-time, part-time, and casual work. You’ll also discover smart ways to add “resume fillers” like short courses, volunteer work, and certificates that help you stand out from the crowd.
You’ll then move on tointerviewpractice. Together, we’ll prepare answers to common questions, work on telling stories from your life, and develop confident, friendly communication skills.
Finally, you’ll learn what to do if you don’t hear back, including how tofollow uppolitely with an email or phone call.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the tools, practice, and confidence to apply for jobs in Australia — and get hired!
