Description
Always wanted to learn how to make your own fermented goods?
Join me for a fun fermentation class from your own kitchen - we will make simple, delicious recipes that don’t need any special equipment!
Enjoy an intimate experience at your own home, as we meet new ingredients and flavours, learn helpful kitchen tips, and prepare yummy recipes from scratch, in a wonderful hands-on experience!
Growing up, both my grandmas and my mom would pickle and ferment all kinds of goodies.
One of my earliest memories is of my next door neighbor’s kitchen - she had a big shelf filled with small and big jars of any vegetable and fruit you can think of - I remember being fascinated by those jars!
Even though it was around me and a part of my world, for a while, I still thought of fermenting as something complicated and intimating.
When I lived in Hawaii, I spent some time living on a biodynamic farm where the owner taught me a lot about fermenting, and we used to have fun fermenting parties in her outdoor kitchen - then I started exploring and experimenting more, and learnt some of my family’s recipes as well.
Not only are fermented foods delicious, they also provide us with many health benefits, like adding important nutrients to our diet, optimizing our immune system, detoxifying our bodies and helping us digest our food.
So join me and learn how to make your own fermented foods!
Special Notes:
Equipment required: blender (optional for 1 recipe – Kimchi)
All recipes in this class can be made gluten-free (except for 1 recipe: Seeded Sourdough Bread)
