A Poetry Course For Ancestral Healing and Transformation

    What you'll learn
    - UNEARTH HIDDEN PATTERNS - You’ll identify inherited beliefs, habits, and emotional patterns that may be unconsciously shaping your lives
    - - from generational trauma to silent expectations passed down without words.
    - RELEASE WHAT NO LONGER SERVES - Through guided poetry and reflection, you will be invited to confront painful legacies with honesty
    - and courage - letting go of shame, guilt, or inherited emotional burdens.
    - REWRITE THE NARRATIVE - Each poem becomes a portal to self-empowerment. Learners won’t just uncover what’s been passed down
    - - they’ll choose what continues. This is a creative act of rewriting family history with intention and heart.
    - CULTIVATE COMPASSION AND UNDERSTANDING - Participants will gain a deeper understanding of their family dynamics and their ancestors' humanity -
    - moving from resentment or confusion toward empathy and clarity.
    - RECLAIM THEIR POWER - Most of all, they’ll leave with a renewed sense of agency.
    - They’ll see that healing is possible - and that change begins with their willingness to do the work.
    - CREATE A LEGACY OF HEALING - As they heal themselves, learners also create a ripple effect.
    - They become the generational cycle-breakers, planting seeds of hope, compassion, and empowerment for those who come after them.
    - • The course gives language to experiences many holds but rarely express.
    - • The course gives language to experiences many holds but rarely express.
    - • It helps participants see their parents and themselves with new eyes, breaking cycles of silence or shame.
    - • It empowers them to create art out of pain, so the echoes of the past transform into voices of healing and renewal.

    Requirements
    - WHAT YOU’LL NEED FOR THIS JOURNEY
    - AN OPEN HEART AND WILLINGNESS TO FEEL - This journey asks you to meet your story honestly. You don’t need to be "healed" - only open to feeling what arises.
    - Come as you are. Bring the parts you’ve hidden, too.
    - A JOURNAL OR NOTEBOOK FOR REFLECTION - You’ll be guided to write, reflect, and respond to poetic invitations throughout the course.
    - This will be your sacred space to catch what the poems awaken.
    - A QUIET SPACE OR RITUAL SETTING - Create an environment where you can listen deeply - a corner, candle, or headphones will do.
    - Healing asks for stillness; give your spirit space to speak.
    - NO PRIOR WRITING EXPERIENCE NEEDED - This course isn’t about perfect poetry. It’s about truth-telling, expression, and release.
    - If you can feel, you can write.
    - ANCESTRAL CURIOSITY - Bring an openness to explore where you come from - the love, the silence, the survival.
    - We are the continuation of many stories. This course helps you choose which ones continue through you.
    - TIME AND TENDERNESS FOR YOURSELF - You’ll need space to rest and integrate after some poems or reflections. Healing moves at its own pace.
    - Give yourself permission to pause.
    - (OPTIONAL) A SUPPORTIVE COMMUNITY OR FRIEND TO SHARE WITH - If emotions rise, having someone safe to talk to can help the process feel held.
    - Healing doesn’t have to happen alone.

    Description
ECHOES OF OUR PARENTS - OPENER

Within us reside the silent whispers of those who came before - traits, habits, and patterns passed down through generations. Some we embrace, others we resist, yet all shape the very fabric of who we are. In exploring these echoes, we uncover the invisible threads binding us to our roots, revealing not just where we come from, but who we may become.

Echoes of Our Parents is not just about poetry - it’s about ANCESTRAL ECHOES TURNED INTO PERSONAL EMPOWERMENT.

Through raw, evocative poems and powerful reflection prompts, this course unearths the unspoken legacies passed down through generations - habits, beliefs, traumas, and patterns that live in our bodies and minds.

Echoes of Our Parents is a poetic journey into the stories we inherit, the wounds we carry, and the healing we choose.  It is a transformative muse into the ancestral imprints that shape our emotional and psychological landscapes.

Every child grows up with an unseen inheritance - the weight of words spoken and unspoken, the rhythms of love offered or withheld, the shadows of past generations echoing through our own lives.

This course offers a sacred space to listen to those echoes, not with fear, but with courage.

    Who this course is for:
    - ADULT CHILDREN PROCESSING INHERITED PATTERNS - Those who grew up in the shadow of their parents’ choices, words, and silences. They may carry wounds of neglect, unmet love, cultural expectations, or unspoken trauma. This course will help them name the pain through poetry, so they no longer feel voiceless or trapped in repetition.
    - SEEKERS OF HEALING & SELF-DISCOVERY - Individuals drawn to personal growth, journaling, or therapy who want a creative path into self-reflection. The poems and questions will serve as bridges - helping them transform old stories of pain into new narratives of empowerment.
    - CREATIVE WRITERS & POETS EXPLORING IDENTITY - Writers who long to explore the deep wells of family, ancestry, and inheritance. This course will not just teach them how to write, but will guide them into writing that is both raw and transformative, unearthing truths often left unsaid.
    - COMMUNITY BUILDERS & FACILITATORS - Therapists, educators, or workshop leaders looking for soul-stirring material to use in group settings. The poems and reflection questions can open conversations about belonging, generational wounds, and collective healing.
    - ECHOES OF OUR PARENTS is designed for ADULT SONS AND DAUGHTERS WHO ARE SEEKING TO HEAL THE EMOTIONAL IMPRINTS OF THEIR PARENTS. They may carry unspoken hurts, patterns of silence, or generational expectations - and are ready to break cycles, reclaim their voices, and write their way into healing. They are not necessarily “writers” or “poets” by label. Instead, they are ordinary people longing for a CREATIVE, SOULFUL PATHWAY to make peace with the echoes of their upbringing and turn pain into strength. If any of this describe you, then welcome – I’m excited to guide you on this journey into the stories we inherit, the wounds we carry, and the healing we choose.
