Famed director Karel Zeman created this fascinating adventure that wound up capturing the hearts of a generation. It’s a trip down the river of time as four young boys explore the prehistoric past of Planet Earth. The longer they go down the river, the further back in time they go. And what adventures await them! Dinosaurs, flying lizards and other hazards appear to threaten these youths, but their resolve is firm and their cleverness is contemporary. And they manage to survive their ordeal, learning quite a bit along the way.

Journey To The Beginning Of Time (Cesta Do Praveku) is probably Zeman’s most personal project. He creates realistic images with minimal resources, using his own creativity to dazzle the audience. The creatures are a mix of realistic scale models, small miniatures, puppets, and stop-motion motion animation. His dedication to the visual shows off his skills in creating a world that was never seen by human beings. This is one journey that will entertain and enlighten for generations to come! !
