Fox Hunting / Vânătoarea De Vulpi (1980)

Fox Hunting is considered a moment of grace in Romanian cinema. This is an adaptation of the novel by Dinu Săraru peasants, whose action is placed in the 50s, desperate period in the history of the Romanian village, when the political regime decides compulsory collectivization of agriculture. The main characters, or four Naite Lucean friend and the Short, are two peasants who are hopeless efforts to survive the political-ideological roller. They know and feel that their lives will change their traditions and habits of living.
