CD 2 features the single versions of eight A-sides, nine B-sides and five rarities, including seven non-album singles, 'Love Man', 'Dance Card', 'Beat The Beat', 'Baby It's True', 'Ain't That Peculiar', Let's Make This Last' and the theme tune to the 1985 film Dance With A Stranger 'Would You Dance With A Stranger'. CD 3 includes eight new remixes by the original writer/producer Tot Taylor, ably assisted by Joe Dworniak using the original multi-track tapes. Appearing on CD for the first time includes the U. S. Remix of 'Just What I Always Wanted', 'One Day Is A Lifetime - Alternate Version', a 7" DJ edit of 'Wonderful' and two versions of 'Let's Make This Last'. Mari Wilson (The Neasden Queen Of Soul) first arrived on the scene in the early 80s with her skyscraper beehive, a bizarre sense of fashion and fully choreographed 12-piece band The Wilsations. Mari's live shows were an event - pure entertainment.

Success was to follow with a string of self and co-written tunes but all too soon problems set in and Marilyn’s career was over prematurely. His songwriting and artistic style means he’ll always enjoy the status of being an 80’s icon.

The fourth, fifth, and sixth box sets dedicated to compiling all of Depeche Mode's single releases were put out in 2004, 13 years after the first three originally appeared. All of these sets provide a convenience for hardcore fans since they provide each single in its own slim jewel case. Needless to say, those who bought the original singles as they were released will be flustered once again. The sixth set, covering 1997 through 2001, includes the "Barrell of Gun," "It's No Good," "Home," "Useless," "Only When I Lose Myself," and "Dream On" singles. Remixes come from Dan the Automator, DJ Shadow, GusGus, Plastikman, Dave Clarke, Kid 606, Bushwacka!, and Kruder & Dorfmeister.

2014 remastered and expanded two CD edition of her 1988 album originally a UK-only release that marked Zadora's return to the pop/dance fold after achieving credibility with her readings of R&B standards. The Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis' production is slick at times but the songs are well-crafted. Up-tempo numbers comprise with the understated 'Still Remembered' and pulsating 'Dance Out of My Head' making the strongest impressions. However, it's the ballads that Zadora is most comfortable with, and the standout is 'Since I've Been Lovin' You.' a calming number built simply on keyboard layering's and Zadora's vocal, it exemplifies her penchant for subtle R&B styling's and strays from the massive production of several other cuts. 'Silence' is a close match, demonstrating her proficiency in the soprano range. The track listing is evenly split between energetic dance-pop numbers and sullen R&B ballads. From the kinetic, catchy 'Laughin' at You' to the pensive, romantic 'Since I've Been Lovin' You,' this set effectively captures many moods in one listen. The bonus disc includes rare tracks and remixes.

Their first three self-penned albums, all reached the UK Top 30, with 'Youthquake' reaching the Top 10. Working with the band's later recordings, legendary producer, Pete 'Mixmaster' Hammond, has undertaken a throwback hi NRG remix project, completely re-playing and reworking 11 of the Band's recordings, in the classic '80s sound. These remixes are a retro take on those newer songs as to how they might have sounded. To illustrate the complexity of the project, each song is built up of between 130 to 190 track parts (i.e. drums, guitars, bass lines, synths and vocals). The album includes remixes of versions of four of their biggest hits, the Japanese #2 hit 'Hit And Run Lover', through to their most recent album, 'Fan The Flame (Part 2). The North London group Komputer began its career in the late '90s as an electro-pop act modeled largely after Kraftwerk but changed its style considerably in subsequent years, moving toward a more original sound. Comprised of Simon Leonard and David Baker, Komputer actually began as a trio, also featuring Jane Brereton, and debuted on Mute Records in 1996 with a self-titled, four-song EP led by "Valentina Tereshkova," a future single for the group. A year later, in October 1997, Mute released The World of Tomorrow, Komputer's first full-length album. Seemingly a literal homage to Kraftwerk, characterized largely by analog synths and vocoderized singing, the album spawned three singles - "Looking Down on London," "Valentina," and "Terminus" - that Mute released individually with accompanying remixes over the course of 1997 and 1998…

It's interesting to note that Hot Chip's string of great albums - beginning with Made in the Dark - coincided with their exploration of the joys of long-term relationships. Celebrating monogamy while avoiding monotony applies to how they make music, as well: on the surface, Why Make Sense? is another album of wry, kinetic electro-pop from a group that has mastered the style, but it also builds on Hot Chip's roots - and dance music's origins - in ways that sound fresh. The band reunited with In Our Heads producer Mark Ralph, and they expand on that album's joyousness, this time imbuing it with elements of R&B, hip-hop, and, especially, disco. "Huarache Lights" feels like the album's mission statement, from its slow and steady groove and un-ironic talkbox to its sample of First Choice's "Let No Man Put Asunder," a sizzling disco testament to commitment that was also sampled by the prime movers of house and techno's early days…
