Odetta - My Eyes Have Seen (1959)
1CD | Lame 3.96 | MP3 320 Kbps | 44.1KHz | 2 Channels | 91MB
Genre: Folk, blues | Released year: 1959 | Label: Vanguard

Odetta was one of the strongest voices in the folk revival and the civil rights movement. While it might be hard for a post-millennium roots fan to understand, Odetta — in her heyday — was the kind of folk artist who drove purists crazy. With her resonate vocals and her choice of material, she seemed like the perfect link between older performers like Leadbelly and the folk movement of the late '50s. At the same time, Odetta had studied music in college and had no intention of being hemmed in by what a small group of white men thought about tradition. Released in 1959, "My Eyes Have Seen" was the first album that revealed her split nature. "My Eyes Have Seen" is a nice portrait of a performer bucking conformity as she stretches her artistic legs a bit.

Essentials of Business Communication
Publisher: South-Western College Pub | ISBN : 0324588003 | January 13, 2009 | 560 pages | PDF | 54MB

This book is an excellent tool for writing, especially for the non-native English writer. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is interested in a study guide with many examples that have been updated for the current business environment. The numerous samples and the grammar review are very helpful for studying the fundamentals. This book is extremely relevant in a business world crowded with a cornucopia of poor writing, misspelling, and incorrect grammar usage. My heartfelt thanks to Ms. Guffey for writing such an excellent guide.

World Mythology: The Illustrated Guide
Publisher: Oxford University Press | ISBN : 0195307526 | June 29, 2006 | 320 pages | PDF | 281MB

The study of mythology does not suffer from a dearth of fine, scholarly reference books, but until now the general reader lacked a good, illustrated collection of the most important myths. In this fascinating and authoritative encyclopedia, scholarly contributors use more than 500 color photographs, maps, and artifacts to describe the myths. With each chapter written by an expert this book provides a grand overview of much of the World's mythology. Although it is mainly a reference work it is not so dense that it cannot be read from cover to cover. It is also beautifully illustrated. The prose was intelligent, the rich images of ancient artwork on every page added a great deal of context to the myths, and coverage of the subject matter was very comprehensive as a whole.

1CD | FLAC Tracks | EAC Rip (included CUE+LOG) | 44.1KHz/16-Bit | 2 Channels | 213MB
Genre: Rock | Label: Hydra Head | Release date: March 9, 2010

To call this grind music would be a total lie, and to call it noise rock would be to sell it short. Its some sort of hybrid that makes you feel like you got punched in the stomach. Even (comparatively) slower tracks like “The Hit” and “The Dead Singer” twist higher and higher until they collapse into broken down noise freakouts that I cant really wrap my mind around yet. “The Theatre Goer” riffs like a Black Sabbath track, but the guitar effects make it sound like its trapped in a tornado, which leads perfectly into the absolutely ridiculous opening guitar part to “Our Queens”. Pardon my lack of journalistic integrity here: holy shit. Daughters have once again created a noise rock masterpiece. This is a must hear.

Genre: Rock, Indie | Label: Aesthetics Records | Release year: 2001

Hood is unknown and that's a shame. It's one of the best brittish band. The music they create is a refreshing mix of mogwai and tortoise: dub, jazz, lo-fi, pop-influeneces. The atmoshphere is one of rainy days, you stay in and drink another cup of tea. 'Hood is where it hurts'is probably the ideal soundtrack for september. 'The cold western lanes' and 'the fact you've failed' are weltschmerz-pop.

A remarkable portrait of American food before World War II, presented by the New York Times-bestselling author of Cod and Salt. Award-winning New York Times-bestselling author Mark Kurlansky takes us back to the food and eating habits of a younger America: Before the national highway system brought the country closer together; before chain restaurants imposed uniformity and low quality; and before the Frigidaire meant frozen food in mass quantities, the nation's food was seasonal, regional, and traditional. It helped form the distinct character, attitudes, and customs of those who ate it.

This little booklet will apeal a big deal to those "Do-it-yourself'ers" like myself. The text and drawings are self explanatory and stright forward. Anyone with some experience in machining can obtain great results at building this turbine as it is in the text, or with minor modifications enlarge or reduce it following your needs as Tesla did. Great entertaining too!

One comment from Amazon: Merle Haggard is not generally known as a Bluegrass singer but he does a terrific job on this CD - along with a group of outstanding musicians. "Bluesy" and melodious the entire session fit together well and produced some classic cuts. My favorite is the final number "Blues stay away from me." You won't be disappointed.

Secret Power - New Zealand's Role in the International Spy Network, published in 1996, was Hager's first book. The book is about the type of spying known as Signals Intelligence (Sigint) that involved electronic eavesdropping between countries. It is based on interviews with staff in New Zealand's Sigint agency, the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB), who revealed the workings of the agency in minute detail: the intelligence targets, equipment, operating procedures, security systems and training, as well as the staff and layout of the intelligence agency's facilities…
