InnovMetric PolyWorks 2016 IR11

General

- New translated documents are available: PolyWorks|Inspector Essentials Premium Package available in French.
Fixed issues:
- Issues with the IGES and STEP CAD model importers.
- The installation of PolyWorks|Viewer can fail if the user does not have administrator privileges.

IMInspect

- The performance of algorithms which make use of parallel processing on multicore processors, such as real-time quality meshing, could be affected by the presence of an antivirus software. This problem has been solved and affected users will observe major performance improvements.
- When using a multi-CMM setup, synchronization points are inserted into the measurement sequence to synchronize measurements between the instances of IMInspect running on each computer. Users will be pleased to note that the performance of this synchronization operation has been significantly improved.
Fixed issues:
- The import of global device position targets from text files is no longer functioning.
- Surface features linked to probed comparison points are not automatically measured when measuring the comparison points.
- An issue with Datum Reference Frame alignments in the presence of multiple alignment groups.
- The compensation direction of a probed cross-section can be inverted when imported into another project.
- A software freeze when the export to Excel operation fails.

IMEdit

Fixed issues:
- A missing unit conversion when importing curves from an IGES file.

Portable metrology plug-ins

Fixed issues:
- A timeout occurs when acquiring data with several exposures in the Faro 3D Imager plug-in.
- A failure to connect to a Leica device when rapidly going from probing to scanning.

CNC CMM and I++ plug-ins

- The ACR2 tool changer, which can be used with PHS1 probe heads, is now supported.
- Improvements have been made to the use of software compensation maps for scanners mounted on CNC CMMs.
- A new WPZ 50 protocol, for use with devices such as Wenzel RUF underbody CMMs, has been added to the Manual CMM plug-in.
- A new Promet protocol, that enables using devices with the Promet software, has been added to the Manual CMM plug-in.
Fixed issues:
- Problems when changing tools on eccentric probe heads.
- The approach speed is limited on some Wenzel controllers.
- Manual movement using the joystick does not function on some Wenzel controllers.
