Love in a Sleeper is the final studio album released by German euro-disco group Silver Convention, which at the time consisted of vocalists Ramona Wulf, Rhonda Heath and Zenda Jacks. The album managed to chart in the RPM 's disco album chart, peaking #11. The single "Spend The Night With Me" peaked #80 in the Billboard R&B Singles chart, #10 in Dance Music/Club Play Singles and #12 in Canadian Dance Chart.

Digitally re-mastered and expanded edition of this 1976 album from the German Disco outfit. Madhouse (R&B #47/Pop #65), the groups third album, was released hot on the heels of the success from 'Get Up And Boogie.' Band leaders Michael Kunze and Sylvester Levay emphasized the funkier elements in the group's Euro-disco sound on Madhouse. There are still plenty of the trademark swirling strings and the production is still very slick and smooth but there is no question, with tracks like 'Madhouse,' 'Plastic People' and 'I'm Not a Slot Machine' that this album is the funkiest offered by Silver Convention and pushed the boundaries of their Euro-disco sound. Other standout tracks on this album are the US single 'Dancing in the Aisle', the German single 'Fancy Party,' and the Northern Soul type of UK single 'Everybody's Talking 'Bout Love,' unsurprisingly a UK hit peaking at #25. This edition comes complete with extensive liner notes and bonus tracks. Essential listening for all Funk, Disco, Dance and Pop fans.

Although not quite as strong as Save Me, the Silver Convention's self-titled second album is a respectable, if uneven, Euro-disco effort that boasts the disco smash "Get up and Boogie." In the U.S., "Get up and Boogie" was the only tune on the LP that enjoyed a lot of radio airplay. But dance club DJs weren't about to play that single exclusively; they also gave a lot of exposure to high-gloss cuts that range from the lush "San Francisco Hustle" and the mildly funky "No No Joe" to the dreamy "You Got What It Takes (To Please Your Woman)" and the clever "Play Me Like a Yo-Yo." On a few tracks, the Silver Convention tries to demonstrate that it can sing more than Euro-disco. "The Boy With the Ooh La-La" is a playful pop-reggae number, while "Thank You, Mr. D.J." is an unremarkable pop ballad. But Euro-disco is what the Silver Convention did best, and it is the style that dominates this generally decent sophomore effort.

Following the success of the 'Tokyo Glow' and 'Funk Tide' sets, Wewantsounds once again teams up with Tokyo-based DJ Notoya for a breezy selection of Funk and Boogie recorded in Japan for King Records in the 70s and 80s.
