Love Forever, our 2025 set of demos from Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jackie DeShannon, set collector hearts a-flutter all over the world with it's collection of introspective, folk rock-flavored tunes drawn from her unreleased recordings for Metric Music Publishing. Now, we're one-upping ourselves with Girl of Yesterday-Acoustic Folk Demos, a collection of COMPLETELY UNRELEASED acoustic folk demos from Jackie, taken from the same rich source of material. Folk music came naturally to Jackie. She got her start singing gospel at home and in church as a child in her native Kentucky, and then singing country songs in her teens on her own weekly radio show. And her first, self-titled album for Liberty in 1963 consisted entirely of folk repertoire. But that album only featured folk songs written by other artists. Girl of Yesterday-Acoustic Folk Demos, on the other hand, presents a dozen tunes, all penned by Jackie for an album distributed by Metric in 1964.

This album is the fifth in a series of Laurence Juber’s celebrated arrangements of Beatles songs for solo guitar. It breaks with its predecessors by being mainly performed on an electric archtop guitar, rather than acoustic flattop. It’s still fingerstyle and employs some favored altered tunings, but with a sense of improvisational freedom that goes with the different tonal focus.

England's one and only John Smith has been at the pioneering forefront of British folk guitar music for twenty years. He cut his teeth opening for the late, great John Martyn, and has since worked with a host of artists including Sarah Jarosz, the Milk Carton Kids, Patty Griffin and Jackson Browne.

This album was a pleasant surprise. When I decided to give up my long tours across Europe, I thought that the album *The Road Well Travelled* would be the last in my discography. However, Günter Pauler from Stockfisch Records had other plans: he reminded me of the two concerts I’d given in Northeim in 2023, and that he’d recorded both evenings – the songs and the stories.

Jake Shimabukuro released his acoustic ambient album ‘Calm Seas’ on January 30, 2026, marking a reflective shift in his creative output. This project consists of 13 original compositions recorded in Hawai’i with an additional 12 versions available on the digital release. Unlike previous recording methods, Shimabukuro captured the sounds of nature first and composed the music to fit the natural melodies of birds and ocean waves. This reversal of the traditional scoring process results in minimalist arrangements that emphasize the raw expressiveness of the ‘ukulele.

Pullman is a studio-born acoustic supergroup that emerged from Chicago’s post-rock milieu in the late ’90s, uniting Ken “Bundy K.” Brown (Tortoise/Directions in Music), Curtis Harvey (Rex), Chris Brokaw (Come), and Doug McCombs (Tortoise/Eleventh Dream Day); drummer Tim Barnes later joined, solidifying the group’s core lineup. They debuted on Thrill Jockey with Turnstyles & Junkpiles (1998), a hushed, live-to-2-track collection of interwoven guitars that critics likened to John Fahey, Leo Kottke, and Gastr del Sol. Their follow-up, Viewfinder (2001), expanded the palette with percussion, subtle electric textures, and multi-track layering, while maintaining Pullman’s rustic, cinematic restraint. Across both albums, the band became a touchstone for acoustic, song-adjacent instrumental music: folk in spirit, post-rock in method, and timeless in tone.

Anyone who has paid attention to Icelandic music this century knows how Ólöf Arnalds can mesmerise a room with nothing but a small guitar and her distinctive soprano voice. Across five albums in nearly twenty years, her gently plucked guitar, charango, violin and koto have provided the bedrock for vivid narrations straddling the mundane and mythological, sketching out rich emotional territories often concerned with love–equal parts familial, platonic and romantic. The music evokes Joanna Newsom, Nico’s early solo albums and Vashti Bunyan but the deceptively simple arrangements and tightly braided melodies are, ultimately and unmistakably, very much her own.

This is the 6th limited edition box set in the chronological series of re-issues of Neil Young's official album releases. This volume covers the years 1992 - 1995 and includes the albums Harvest Moon (1992), Unplugged (1993), Sleeps With Angels (1994) and the album Neil recorded with Pearl Jam, Mirror Ball (1995). Harvest Moon's title track is a hugely popular song, and the album also includes "Unknown Legend" and "From Hank To Hendrix". Sleeps With Angels is a favorite of the core fan base, featuring "Western Hero", "Prime of Life ", and the epic, 14 minute, "Change Your Mind". Unplugged features 14 live performances, including some of Neil's most popular tracks from his career up to 1993. Mirror Ball is an analog recording and has been remastered, and 4 songs have been remixed. The album includes two songs that have recently featured prominently in Neil's live sets: "Throw Your Hatred Down" and "I'm The Ocean". Each album in the vinyl box is 2 LP (and pressed on 180 gram vinyl); the CD box contains 1 CD per album. Both the Vinyl & CD boxes are numbered limited editions.

Originally released on 31 October 2005, Tea & Sympathy debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, won three ARIA Awards including Album of the Year, and earned Fanning APRA’s Songwriter of the Year Award in 2006. Featuring tracks like “Wish You Well”, “Songbird”, “Watch Over Me” and “Thrill is Gone”, the album established Fanning as a powerhouse solo artist alongside his success with Powderfinger.
