IMDB
IMDB Rating: 7.4/10
Directed by: Leonid Lukov
Starring: Tatyana Piletskaya, Yulian Panich, Georgiy Yumatov
Storyline: The film’s young heroes happened to be the participants of several love triangles at once. Sonya is in love with Stepan, but he loves to Tania, and Tania love Fedor. Infidelity and betrayal, love and faithfulness were closely interwoven in their relationships. “Future dates we must not intend, our fortunes are different. You will be my last and only love, and my pain” – that’s what the whole country was singing with feeling after the release of a new film by the celebrated Leonid Lukov (“A Great Life”, “Two Soldiers”) about the reprehensible love affair between an elderly composer and a young girl. The film had made a truly indelible impression on the viewers of several generations. The formula for its overwhelming success: a perfect, unhackneyed plot (centered around a negative female character), a fine acting ensemble of all but screen stars, the highest professionalism of the director, Bogoslovsky’s superb music, and the ever stirring theme of “unequal” love.
