Poirot (Agatha Christie's Poirot) è una serie televisiva britannica, prodotta originariamente dalla London Weekend Television (attualmente dalla ITV Production and Agatha Christie Ltd), trasmessa in Inghilterra a partire dall'8 gennaio del 1989 e terminata il 13 novembre 2013 dopo 13 stagioni, per un totale di 70 episodi divisi fra 36 episodi della durata di 52 minuti ispirati ai racconti brevi di Agatha Christie pubblicati nel corso degli anni venti, e 34 episodi della durata di 103 minuti ispirati ai romanzi. Hercule Poirot è un personaggio immaginario, celebre investigatore belga, nato dalla fantasia della giallista Agatha Christie, probabilmente ispirata da Sherlock Holmes di Arthur Conan Doyle, un gendarme belga in pensione.

Storyline
This whodunit series based on Agatha Christie's crime novels and short stories, is named after its star sleuth, Hercule Poirot, a famous former Belgian policeman, who settled for good in London after the war, soon so famous as an infallible private detective that he becomes a society figure in his own right. In each episode Poirot gets to solve a crime mystery -mostly murder(s)- for a paying client or otherwise catching his attention, generally along with his faithful English sidekick Captain Hastings and/or his Scotland yard 'friendly rival' Detective Chief Inspector Japp.

Hercule Poirot is a fictional Belgian detective, created by Agatha Christie. Poirot is one of Christie's most famous and long-lived characters, appearing in 33 novels, one play (Black Coffee), and more than 50 short stories published between 1920 and 1975. Poirot has been portrayed on radio, in film and on television by various actors, including John Moffatt, Albert Finney, Sir Peter Ustinov, Sir Ian Holm, Tony Randall, Alfred Molina, Orson Welles and, most notably, David Suchet.

Agatha Christie's Poirot is a British television drama that aired on ITV from 8 January 1989 to 13 November 2013. David Suchet stars as the eponymous detective, Agatha Christie's fictional Hercule Poirot. Initially produced by LWT, the series was later produced by ITV Studios. In the United States, PBS and A&E have aired it as Poirot. At the programme's conclusion, which finished with Curtain: Poirot's Last Case, based on the final Poirot novel, every major literary work by Christie that featured the title character had been adapted
