Application launcher for Mac OS X. It would be wrong to say that Alfred is designed only to run applications. Among its features, you can select search applications (it's obvious), the panel system settings, bookmarks, Safari, contacts, folders and even scripts ActionScript. Call window Alfred is very simple - in default shortcut Alt + Space (in Spotlight), after which it is possible to write the name of the desired application, which appears in the list. The utility allows you to quickly access a list of other elements using a combination Cmd + number.

The user can expand the search results by using modifier keys: if you press Alt + Return, then the request will be sent to a Web search system, and a change to Control Alt will allow search in Spotlight. In addition, the application may be used Triggers - words which allow Alfred change its destination. For example, to ask him to open a specific file to write open filename.extension,
and to force the search engines Word open should be replaced by find.
