Nicole Scherzinger is an American recording artist, actress and television personality. After reaching one-hit wonder success with teen-pop girl group Eden's Crush, she signed with Interscope Records in 2003 as a member of The Pussycat Dolls, a burlesque troupe turned-recording act. During her time as lead singer, Scherzinger generated much controversy over the over-emphasis of her role. The group established themselves as a prominent girl group with the release of their debut album, PCD (2005) which spawned the number one hits "Don't Cha", "Stickwitu" and "Buttons". The group's hiatus saw the release of multiple solo recordings and a scrapped solo album.

Big Fat Lie is the second studio album by American recording artist Nicole Scherzinger, released on October 17, 2014 by RCA Records. Scherzinger began working on the record in the summer of 2013 with the Terius "The-Dream" Nash and Christopher "Tricky" Stewart who act out as the album's executive producers.

"Your Love" was serviced as the lead single from Big Fat Lie on May 30, 2014. It debuted at number six on the UK Singles Chart, and was a moderate success on other international markets.

"Run" was released and impacted contemporary hit radio stations on September 30 as the second single worldwide and the lead single in the US. The third single, "On the Rocks", was released on October 10, 2014 as the second single in the UK. The song received negative reviews from music critics, criticizing the outdated production and the use of Auto-Tune. The accompanying black-and-white music video was released on September 5 and depicts Scherzinger confronting her boyfriend before running outside the house liberating herself.
