For the first time on DVD are two concerts from one of Miles' great later quintets, with Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Dave Holland, and Jack DeJohnette. Filmed live at Tivoli Koncertsal in Copenhagen on November 4, 1969, and from teatro Sistine in Rome on October 27, 1969. Note: The Copenhagen part of this show is of questionable quality, but remains a valuable document of a classic Miles group. The Rome footage is closer to the quality expected today.

For the first time ever on DVD, 2 memorable 1969 European concerts by the Miles Davis Quintet, featuring Miles, Wayne Shorter, Chick Corea, Dave Holland and Jack DeJohnette. Most of these players were a big part of the landmark 'Bitches Brew' and 'In A Silent Way' albums, both from 1969, and both of which were among the first commercially successful fusions of jazz and rock, the latter becoming a gold-seller just years later. Davis' clear influences in this period included late 1960s acid rock and funk artists such as James Brown and Jimi Hendrix, many of whom he met through his firebrand wife Betty. Here, the group's repertoire includes material from both 1969 albums, the 1960s quintet albums, and an occasional standard.
