Unlike some of the Quadromania releases, which tend to group the music together in time order by session, this one jumps around and the details on sourcing are harder to piece together than usual. Furthermore, because Monk was recording in the late 1940s and much of his music initially did not appear on LP, it's hard to give a clean summary of the modern CD's containing the material. Please keep in mind that there's some guesswork in this list of what I think appears in the package:

* All but one tune ("Humph") from Monk's 15 Oct. 1947 Blue Note sextet session, not counting alternate takes
* All but two tunes ("April in Paris" and "Introspection") from Monk's 24 Oct. 1947 Blue Note trio session, not counting alternate takes
* All but one tune ("In Walked Bud") from Monk's 21 Nov. 1947 Blue Note quintet session, not counting alternate takes
* The entirety of Monk's 23 July 1951 Blue Note quintet session, spread out over two of the CD's along with three alternate takes
* The entirety of Monk's 30 May 1952 Blue Note sextet session, spread across three of the CD's along with three alternate takes
* The excerpts from three 1953-1954 Prestige sessions used to constitute the entirety of the Prestige CD "Thelonious Monk/Sonny Rollins", as well as another track omitted from that album but included on the Prestige (not Columbia!) album "Monk"
* The entirety of Monk's 7 June 1954 Vogue solo session
* Two takes from a 24 Dec. 1954 Miles Davis Prestige session released on his album "Bag's Groove"
* Four tracks from a pair of 1952 trio sessions that make up about half of the Thelonious Monk "Trios" album recently released as a Rudy Van Gelder Remaster.
* Four tracks from what appears (by the musicians included) to be the 26 June 1957 Riverside sessions that produced
