Martin Tingvall - Distance (2015)

With Distance (SKP 9147) Martin Tingvall along that way to beat his solo works consistently. With this album he is in his own words on the search for the distance. Distance to the fast pace of our time, but, for example, the distance that arises when people meet no more personally because most interpersonal contacts via digital media run. With this album he wants to put a counterpoint to the distances, bring the developments of today's world with it.

Looking for distance I traveled to Iceland and got there a lot of inspiration for the music on this album. A country that has one gives a whole new perspective. And despite, or perhaps because of the enormous distances there I had the feeling that there is a much greater interpersonal closeness.

Distance from the fast-paced life a little break a little distance and rest time for new perspectives. Formulations with those living in Hamburg Swedish pianist tried to describe his contribution to pause in the daily overload.
