The BBC transcription disc I know very well and it was transcribed to digital in mint condition. It is, however, incomplete & is missing the tracks "Bombers" (should be inbetween "Queen Bitch" & "The Supermen") and "Almost Grown" (between "Looking For A Friend" & "Kooks") plus their Peel intros. "Almost Grown" feaatures Geoffrey Alexander on Lead Vocals. It is a shame they are omitted here although the show can be found in full on the 8CD "Ultimate BBC Radio Recording Sessions" box set.

3 months after Woodstock, The Keef Hartley Band performed at the Essen Pop & Blues Festival in the Grugahalle in October 1969, as well as at the second edition of this festival a few months later on April 25, 1970. In contrast to the Woodstock Festival, there are sound recordings of these, which have now been lovingly edited and made available to a wide audience for the first time in almost 55 (!) years. This is a historic contemporary document, says guitarist and singer Miller Anderson, "The best thing you can hear from us live!"

Long-awaited fourth studio album by the Irish rock band. 'Parked Car Conversations' has been named as Picture This's most ambitious work to be released thus far. The album consists of 15 tracks written by the band over the last three years. Many of them, much like 'Song to Myself', illuminate an emotional depth that remained untouched on previous albums, presenting the band - particularly lyricist and singer Ryan Hennessy - at their most vulnerable. The album is a retrospective insight into Hennessy's personal hurdles that seemed, at the time, impossible to overcome. The strength of overcoming such situations and the growth that comes from it is the focus of 'Parked Car Conversations'.

Last year, Margaret Glaspy shared her third album, Echo The Diamond. It turns out that while she was touring to promote that record, she was working on a new EP entitled The Sun Doesn’t Think, which comes out this Friday. The lead single “24/7” is out now. “This song represents my attempt to understand how the threads of my childhood have woven the adult costume that I wear,” the New York indie singer-songwriter said in a statement. “I started to see that my beliefs about love and life had not evolved since I was a little girl and it had a pretty direct link to my own sense of worry and anxiety.”

Artists live a funny life. Their work goes out into the universe and those it touches decide for themselves what to like, love or ignore. The moment art leaves the studio, whether in print, paint, film or on vinyl, each person whose path it crosses gets to decide how they interpret the work.

No American rock group ever started with as much daring or musical promise as Blood, Sweat & Tears, or realized their potential more fully – and then blew it all as quickly. From their origins as a jazz-rock experiment that wowed critics and listeners, they went on – in a somewhat more pop vein – to sell almost six million records in three years, but ended up being dropped by their record label four years after that. Blood, Sweat & Tears started as an idea conceived by Al Kooper in July of 1967. An ex-member of the Blues Project, Kooper had been toying with the notion, growing out of his admiration for jazz bandleader Maynard Ferguson, of forming an electric rock band that would include horns and use jazz as the basis for their work. He planned to pursue this in London, but a series of New York shows involving some big-name friends didn't raise enough money to get him there. He did, however, find three players who wanted to work with him: bassist Jim Fielder, Blues Project guitarist Steve Katz, and drummer Bobby Colomby. Kooper agreed, as long as he was in charge musically. The horn section featured Fred Lipsius (saxophone), with Randy Brecker and Jerry Weiss on trumpets and flügelhorns, and Dick Halligan playing trombone. The new group was signed to Columbia Records, and the name "Blood, Sweat & Tears" came to Kooper after a jam at the Cafe au Go Go, where a cut on his hand left his organ keyboard covered in blood.

Album number seven and St Vincent continues to thrill, educate and be innovative. Her first fully self-produced album (having co-produced every one of her previous efforts), All Born Screaming is St. Vincent at her most primal. Featuring Clark leading “a curated group of rippers” through the brawny “Broken Man,” the mordant catwalk sashay through the deafening assault of self-loathing that is “Big Time Nothing,” the sublime, elegiac earworm “Sweetest Fruit," All Born Screaming is equal parts spiritual desolation and rapturous acceptance. “If you’re born screaming, that’s a great sign,” says Clark, “because it means you’re breathing. You’re alive. My god. It’s joyous. And then it’s also a protest. We’re all born in protest in a certain way. It’s terrifying to be alive, it’s ecstatic to be alive. It’s everything.”

Blood, Sweat & Tears is a jazz-rock American music group. They are noted for their combination of brass and rock band instrumentation. The group recorded songs by rock/folk songwriters such as Laura Nyro, James Taylor, The Band and the Rolling Stones as well as Billie Holiday and Erik Satie. They also incorporated music from Thelonious Monk and Sergei Prokofiev into their arrangements.

The Beatles So much has been said and written about the Beatles – and their story is so mythic in its sweep – that it's difficult to summarize their career without restating clichés that have already been digested by tens of millions of rock fans. To start with the obvious, they were the greatest and most influential act of the rock era, and they introduced more innovations into popular music than any other group of their time. Moreover, they were among the few artists of any discipline who were simultaneously the best at what they did and the most popular at what they did. Relentlessly imaginative and experimental, the Beatles grabbed hold of the international mass consciousness in 1964 and didn't let go for the next six years, always staying ahead of the pack in terms of creativity and never losing the ability to communicate their increasingly sophisticated ideas to a mass audience.

Formed 1968 in New Jersey as Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show, disbanded in 1985. Their name was shortened in 1975 to Dr. Hook.

My Morning Jacket Hailed as the new heroes of the alt-country scene when they debuted in the late 1990s, My Morning Jacket have matured into an eclectic, sonically diverse ensemble whose work encompassed indie rock, psychedelia, folk, blues, and even dashes of funk and prog rock. Led by songwriter and lead vocalist Jim James, My Morning Jacket's music is most strongly rooted in Americana, with Neil Young, the Band, and the psychedelic end of the '60s folk scene as obvious reference points. However, James and his bandmates have shown a frequent interest in pushing their boundaries, adding new flavors over the course of their career while holding on to the strong melodies and impassioned vocals that were their calling cards.
