Chamber works by César Camarero, one of today’s composers with most projection in the field of European contemporary music. Fine, impassioned music of great beauty which, in the carefully-studied versions offered by the members of the Plural Ensemble and its conductor Fabián Panisello, come to full creative plenitude. This is an essential recording which will certainly not pass unnoticed among lovers of the musical avant garde.
Please note his new Kairos 2010 release with orchestral and chamber pieces: "Vanishing Point", "Duración invisible", "A través del sonido de la lluvia".
The first listening of this 2004 Verso release dedicated to Cesar Camarero (Madrid, 1962) reveals values that further and more attentive audition only confirm: this music has reached a truly deep and mature expression. Audacious treatment of the intervals, rythmic complexity, harmonic density. His pieces are like formulations ("every moment / have been collected in three formulas / Secret", sings the soprano Kym Amps). But it remains the sensuality, the pleasure to investigate the mystery under the skin of the bodies, after the presence of the things, a feeling that assaults to us for example in "Klangfarbenphonie", for piano and ensemble, or in "Finale", for solo piano.
