The Garage Tapes is a 1992 bootleg CD by The Beatles. This was released by Kremo Music Productions. Despite the description of the source, it sounds like someone brought a microphone into the room and recorded everything in the distance. The benefit of hearing these is to hear songs in versions that are mixed differently in the final version.
These tapes were found by biographer Gerry Marsh in the possession of an ex-chauffer to The Beatles Alf Bickness. They were subsequently auctioned at Sotheby's.
