With this debutalbum full of mesmerizing sounds, The Surfaders are confident they will surprise surf/ instro/ underground-music fans around the globe. Combing the classic-surf sound with a more modern-instro-feel . The Surfaders have created a both energetic and cinematic style they labelled "Surf-Noir".

The Surfaders are probably the most unlikely, but therefore also one of the most exciting instrumental surf outfits of the Netherlands. It all started when drummer Evert advertised for a gitarist and bassplayer to form an old-school punk-garage band. Jonas was the only gitarist brave and hip enough to respond. Within minutes Evert and Jonas discovered their mutual love of instrumental surf music and started experimenting in the backroom of a local musicstore, after closing time. Gaston, who was really looking for an exciting alternative rock band with interests in world-music, joined them on bass, which worked so well that soon Holland was one surf-power-trio richer.

The first public Surfaders gig was at the legendary Maloe Melo venue in Amsterdam, and soon groovy underground festivals such as BUT-Film, MadNes, Car-Art and the first Hot-Rod Surf Weekend were booking The Surfaders to embellish parties with their special mix of classic surf melody, punk energy, and cinematic atmospherics. Working hard on composing tracks for their first album, The Surfaders decided to recruit an extra guitarist to expand their musical horizon even further. And with Stef, who was really looking for e new heavy rock 'n' roll or metal band, they foud the perfect partner in crime to complete the tracks. Having played with bands such as Mullet Monster Mafia from Brazil and The Surfing Henchmen from Denmark, The Surfaders were proud to play the 2011 edition of the North Sea Surf Festival, opening for bands such as Phantom Four and The Razorblades

In January 2012 they Surfaders were so hot that they needed only two weekends at the famous IJland studio in Amsterdam to record all 13 tracks of their first album: Dragstrip Murder Mystery. The ultra-cool melodies on this album wil conjure up images of Philip Marlow downing white russians with the Dude at a South-Western Titty-Bar; of Nobody shooting it out with Vincent Vega during a storm at Key Largo; of Dr. Sam Loomis seducing Kay Lawrence in a sweltering dismal Swamp. The Cd-release party at undergroundcafe De Vinger in The Hague (the Surfaders' spiritual home) was sold out.

Currently, the Surfaders are taking their music across the land from the Beach at Noorwijk to The Rambler in Eindhoven, and beyond.
