Sonny James - Four Classic Albums Plus Singles 1952-1962 (2015)

Sonny James ("The Southern Gentleman") sadly passed away just a few weeks ago, & this set serves as a tribute to his wonderful voice and his music in general. Although inducted into the Country Hall Of Fame, most of the tracks on this compilation are of the pop idiom, but there are, of course, some country items along with a smattering of rocking-ish numbers. His version of "Apache" is excellent. Indeed, his voice really suits the type of music here, and I think it is a great collection.
