Celine Frisch, the harpsichordist of Cafe Zimmermann, returns to the recital with a programme entirely devoted to Jean-Philippe Rameau, recorded on a historic harpsichord, built in 1750 by Hemsch.
After the great successes of the Goldberg Variations recording, and of the record of music by d?Anglebert, there is little doubt that this latest interpretation of a monument which epitomises late French Baroque splendour will soon be considered as an absolute reference. The intelligence of touch, beautifully revealed by an outstanding sound, earns Celine a deserved place in the Parnassus of Rameau?s great interpreters.
