Martijn van der Linden was born in 1979 in Oostburg, Holland. From 1997 till 2001 he studied illustration at the Willem de Kooning academy in Rotterdam. In his third year he made his first bookcover for publisher Lemniscaat. Nowadays he works for many different publishers making picturebooks, interior illustrations and bookcovers.
