Personal Notes
This was tested on late 2010 MBP
2.4 GHz Core 2 Duo 4 GB RAM
nVidia 320M w/ 256MB VRAM

Certain parts of the game are slower than others but all in all the game play is smooth enough to play on medium/high. This has been patched with the latest Treyarch PC update from Skidrow. The gameplay in the first level is still a bit choppy but the performance increases tenfold by the third level.

The sound that was broken should be fixed (Its working fine on my system). If for some reason it is not fixed please download the Black Ops wrappers available here @ Broken Stones, place your game files in the wrapper and follow these instructions:

Hold Fn or option and double click Black Ops.app
Go to Advanced > Tools > Winetricks
Run dsoundbug9612
Close Winetricks
Go to Advanced > Tools > Wine Configuration (winecfg)
Click BlackOps.exe in the list so its highlighted, look at the bottom and change Windows Version to Windows XP
Click the Libraries tab up the top
Type ds in the text field and then click the drop down button and choose dsound
Click Add and change its overrides to Builtin
Click Apply then OK.

There is a folder located inside the wrapper that contains all Rank and Prestige icons. The quality isn't the best but it suits a purpose for those that use them. Once AlterOps is up and running full tilt I'm sure there will be a suitable multiplayer wrapper available.

Known Issues:

Audio corruption during the loading screen although the subtitles are enabled so you can follow the story line.

The only bug I've seen aside from the memory leaks (Something that would have been easily prevented by 3 days in beta) is the weird NPC bug where after an NPC is killed they stand straight up and float about just above the floor. Some freeze in spot and others die normally

Aside from the lag in the first couple levels the game seems to run fine on low settings.

Installation:
Mount the .dmg
Drag and drop the Black Ops.app to your preferred gaming folder
Double click to start!
