Volume I of this series serves as a textbook for Semester I of the subject Engineering Mathematics. Suitable figures and diagrams have been used to ensure an easy understanding of the concepts involved. To emphasize application of the topics discussed, suitable examples are incorporated throughout the book. Solved examples, in the book include solutions of questions from previous U.P.T.U. examinations. Previous years question papers have been included as to expose students to the pattern and type of questions they may face in an examination. This book is very useful for Degree, Honours and Postgraduate students of all Indian Universities and for IAS, PCS and other competitive examinations.

About the Author
Dr. Rajesh Pandey He has more than fourteen years experience in teaching students of Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Engineering level. He received his B.Sc and M.Sc degree in 1991 and 1993 respectively from Gorakhpur University and PhD in year 2003 and participated in various seminars & conferences of National and International level. For Graduate & Postgraduate, the author has also written books on Advance Calculus, Vectors, Numerical Analysis, Abstract Algebra, Mechanics, Fluid Mechanics etc. Presently, he is working as an Assistant Professor/Reader in Mathematics, Sherwood College of Engineering, Research and Technology, Lucknow.
