Eternal: Shadow Falls: After Dark (A Shadow Falls Novel)

C. C. Hunter "Eternal: Shadow Falls: After Dark (A Shadow Falls Novel)"
St. Martin's Griffin | English | October 28, 2014 | ISBN: 1250044618 | 400 pages | azw, epub, lrf, mobi | 3,8 mb

Great book, by a great author, about strong women! Highly recommended! C.C. Hunter has a knack for writing brilliantly complex characters. Della has been such an intriguing character for me from the beginning, with the first Shadow Falls short-story Turned at Dark, that when I read the first Shadow Falls book, I was a bit surprised/disappointed initially that the main story line was about Kylie rather than Della, but after getting into the first novel, Born at Midnight, it was obvious that Kylie's story was the one that needed to be told first. Plus now with the Shadow Falls: After Dark spinoff series, where Della is the main protagonist, my slight disappointment in the beginning has been alleviated. In Reborn, we learned a lot of interesting things about Della and her family, along with some major league abilities Della would be coming into, as the series progresses. We also learned that the ladies of Shadow Falls were surrounded by over-protective (well-meaning) men. The ladies proved that they didn't need the men to be so over-protective so they backed off a bit in Eternal, which was good, especially since Della does butt-kicking so well. The Della-Steve-Chase love triangle, is still a bit tedious, but since I love the badassedness of Della I'll over look it. And holy cliffhanger batman! Another hit for C.C. Hunter! Can't wait for Unspoken.
