Great book, I have this one and Japanese for beginners by Gakken and they helped me a lot with advanced grammar and writing. Very recommended for those who already know the basic grammar and pronunciation.

I found this book through my local library and was quite impressed-it's by far the best Japanese textbook I've found so far. It introduces vocabulary and builds reading comprehension simultaneously, and the lessons are quite easy to follow. I will be purchasing a copy of my own in the near future.
