Part of the "Portrait Instruction" series by Johnnie Liliedahl. Oil painting techniques (and drawing in oils).

When painting from the live model, artists need to know how to draw the head in the medium they are painting with, rather than charcoal and pencil.

This video explores not only the theory and measurements to determine likenesses of the model in three views, but also how to control the medium of oil paint during the drawing process.
Three head views are fully demonstrated, using the live model, graphic illustrations to capture the likeness, and full verbal narration of the painting/drawing process. This video is a must for painters wanting to venture into portrait or character painting.

COMMENTS:

I know there was a problem with a missing link on my last post, and I hope this post is up to standard.

I do appreciate that this is a large post for a 1.5 hr instructional video, but I did try to convert it to divx to share it as a smaller file but with unsatisfactory results (Total video converter and a few others).

If anyone recommends a program that will quickly and easily convert the vobs into one divx I will use it and add AVI links.
Alternatively, anyone is welcome to convert this themselves and post the links in the comments.

It's a shame we only have an incremental 2.6 gigs every day from rapidshare!

Another point: within the rar's (NO PASS) you will find an ISO that you can mount with daemon tools or PowerISO, and within there you will find the video_ts and VOB's. I kept the ISO format as I found it as someone may find it useful (?). Not sure. Otherwise, mount it and copy the files over to a hard disk.

Hope you enjoy and let me know if there are any problems.

One last thing I'd like to add is how I download RS file lists.

It can be quite tiresome clicking on every link, but if you use IDM (Internet Download Manager) you can open up a link list or just avaxhome page, select all the links you want, and a right click context menu gives you the option of downloading all the links, and it checks them automatically. Alternatively you can download all links on a page. It also automatically opens tinyurl links (if they are complete).
